Babies Update

With so many little ones in my life, it seems like there is never enough time to see all they do! Daniel is adjusting to his new sister, Kiersten just started a full crawl and is even pulling herself to a standing position (with much exhertion!), and new baby Elizabeth is just sleeping peacefully and looking beautiful. They are each so sweet and have such distinct personalities. It is a real joy and blessing to take part in their lives. When God allows someone to become so deeply precious to me, there is an overwhelming feeling of desperation for them to know the things of the Lord and I pray that the God of Heaven would call them to Himself and save them eternally. I cannot imagine a life as dear as theirs, that was not centered around the cross of Christ and His atoning work! Along with that sentiment, my sister is due to deliver my new nephew in the next couple of weeks, and I am longing to see her and my niece Adaline so badly! I leave July 18th to spend two wonderful weeks fellowshipping with their family. I cannot wait to hug Addie and hold the new little one. I miss seeing all the wonderful "firsts" that she is doing, so I am looking forward to some precious time with her.

Atlanta

I just returned from a classical Christian education conference in Atlanta. We left Wednesday and got home Saturday evening. It was overwhelming, all the speakers and workshops. I learned so much that I did wrong my first year of teaching. Definitely a lot to try and implement this year. My favorite part of the conference was the fellowship with the other teachers I work with. We took a group of 17 and it was just so encouraging to get to know them better, to hear their teaching experiences, and most of all to observe the heart God has given them for classical education. The theme of the conference was: Christ the Lord of Classical Christian Education. Every speaker tied their practical educational lecture around how Christ is the center and foundation of it. As a side note, we also had a fun night at a Braves baseball game! I had a great time and it reminded me how thankful I should be for the Lord so providentially providing me with this position and the opportunity to be surrounded by such godly and wise people.

Baby Elizabeth Arrives!!!

Yesterday, one of my best friends delivered her new daughter, Elizabeth Grace Marshall. She weighed 8lbs., 3oz. and is exceptionally beautiful. Mama Amber is doing great and thankful for the safe delivery of this precious new life. I am so blessed to see such wonderful families being providentially expanded by God's abundant grace. And He is so sweet to allow me to have a part in so many children's lives. Their souls are precious in His sight, and I pray He will draw them to Himself in the days to come. What a tremendous gift to partake of!

Kiersten's Sleepover

I had the precious joy of keeping Kiersten one night this week. Despite not feeling completely herself, we had such a sweet time. We played with the dog (which kept her laughing), took a bath, napped and played with lots of toys. It was a wonderful time together.

Blogging...

This week I have spent a lot of time researching blogs and have found some very interesting things. There are some really amazing women and singles who are blogging about the value of a theological mindset toward the circumstances of life. It has been really encouraging to read what they are writing. My blog, however, just seems to stand still as I never can find the time to really sit down and share. But I wanted to post some recent photos for my friends. I have been spending my days with lots of babies, which has been a huge blessing to my heart. They are precious to me and I love my friends as family. God has been so good to me! Enjoy the cuties!!!
